Micaela Notarangelo

[ITA] Micaela Notarangelo, PhD, IBCLC, si è certificata nel 2010 e svolge la sua attività di IBCLC in libera professione con centro a Lerici (SP). Dal 1992 al 2001 Micaela ha vissuto in Giappone, dove ha conseguito un dottorato in Economia all’Univeristà di Hokkaido, Sapporo. Ha lavorato come ricercatrice e docente all’Università di Hokkaido e di Utrecht in Olanda. Dopo il ritorno in Italia è diventata Consulente de La Leche League e ha servito come Area Professional Liaison de LLL tra il 2010 e il 2013. Dal 2013 al 2019 ha fatto parte del Board dell’IBLCE, e dal 2020 è tesoriera nel Board di ELACTA (European Lactation Consultant Alliance). Micaela, oltre al lavoro con le famiglie, ama gli aspetti scientifici dell’allattamento, è autrice di diverse pubblicazioni scientifiche, è relatrice a convegni nazionali e internazionali, e serve come peer reviewer per il Journal of Human Lactation.

[ENG] Micaela Notarangelo, PhD, IBCLC, RLC, obtained her IBCLC certification in 2010. She has a private lactation consultant practice in Lerici, Italy and takes a particular interest in everything that concerns breastfeeding science and medicine.
From 1992 to 2001, Micaela lived in Japan, where in 1998 she earned a PhD in Economics at Hokkaido University, Sapporo. She also worked as assistant professor at Hokkaido University and Utrecht University. After returning to Italy, she became a La Leche League Leader in 2005 and was the Area Professional Liaison of LLL Italy from 2010 to 2013. Between 2013 and 2019, she has been serving in the Board of Directors of IBLCE, and since 2020 she has been serving as Treasurer in the Board of Directors of ELACTA (European Lactation Consultant Alliance). Micaela has been a speaker at international and national conferences, has published scientific articles, and has served as as peer reviewer for the Journal of Human Lactation.
